With your purchase of a 8mm Film, Super8 Film, or 16mm Film transfer to DVD, Home Movie Depot involves you in determining how your final product will look. As soon as your transferred film and screening DVD are shipped, you'll be given 30 days of free access to our online editor. Each 16mm film, super 8 film and 8mm movie film to DVD video transfer is placed into your own private online editor. Previewing your movies online allows you to see the contents of each reel, decide on titles, choose music, customize the DVD's appearance, and determine the sequence of the reels. Even with a dial-up Internet connection you will be able to customize you home movie transfer. Once you've customized your movies, you can place an additional order for customized copies, from the same editing page!

When we convert home movies to DVD and VHS we automatically cut out blank film. We recommend you convert your home movies to DVD, you can also order both VHS and DVD copies in the same order. We also recommend you order more than one DVD copy, transferring home movies takes time and money and you don't want to worry about losing your only copy. Transferring your home movies to digital tape formats such as MiniDV and Digital8 is also a good idea if you want to edit at home with a digital camcorder. However, digital tape copies are a complete digital master of the film and cannot be edited online.
