At Home Movie Depot our mission is to help people have fun with their memories. We use the latest technology, much of which we develop ourselves, to help clients preserve their movies in the best way possible. Over the years we have developed equipment, software and processes which demonstrate our dedication to not simply transferring movies, but helping people preserve memories. We make this distinction because we know that these are irreplaceable movies and our clients want the job done once, done right and in a way which will last several lifetimes.

Here we explain how we care for your movies, how we transfer your movies, how we have involved you in the process and how we have advanced the industry. These advances are all in an effort to respond to our clients comments and concerns, and at times our incredible staff comes up with an idea that truly exceeds the expectations of our clients.

Below we discuss the challenges we have faced and how we have overcome them. It is our hope that these ideas and your comments will challenge us to always continue to improve. We will soon be writing in depth articles to discuss how we have addressed each of these issues.

The first challenge we tackled was, "What is the best way to transfer film to video?" We have tested several methods and continue to improve in the telecine area.

How can we "sell" a service online? (shopping cart) We realize our clients expect a secure web site, an easy to use ordering system, the ability to check the status of their order and be able to easily place additional orders in the future.

"Can I edit my movies?" customers would always ask. We made it possible.

Although we have never had a reel problem (pardon the pun), how do we be sure to keep each movie of every order identified and organized? We have developed a cataloging and barcode system to keep your home movies safe.
