We have been blessed to have grown from my guest bedroom to our new 10,000 square foot facility in only 6 years. We must be doing something right. Deciding who you should trust with your home movies is a tough decision. I would like to tell you the Home Movie Depot story so that you may make an informed decision. But in brief I will give you a checklist that should help you make a good decision. This is what I would look for in any company based on my experience as President of Home Movie Depot:

1) Are they organized?

Writing your name on a piece of paper and throwing it in a box with all of your irreplaceable movies is scary. We let the customer enter their information directly into our database and then we use the database for every step of our process. Customers are given a unique barcode for every movie they will send in, they can check the status of their order online.

2) Can they do a good job?

Buying equipment and then starting your own business might be good enough, that is how we started. But if a company has developed their own equipment it should be better than anything else on the market. Home Movie Depot and Movie Stuff are the only two innovators that have made significant advances in the market to our knowledge.

3) Will the finished product be "finished"

With Home Movie Depot you can change the titles or sequence of your movies with our online editor. Their is no extra fee for titles, music and scene selection menus on additional copies. Sharing your movies online is free and easy. You can even get your film transferred to high definition and store it on a hard drive for future formats.

4) Do they know what they are doing?

Home Movie Depot has made a substantial investment in developing our own transfer machines, online movie viewing/editing and an easy to use web site. We transfer over 1 million feet of film and thousands of hours of video and 35mm slides each month on average. We are able to complete the average job in under three days. This requires very sophisticated systems gained only through experience and continued success.
