How much does it cost?

Pricing varies depending on the number of tapes. Visit our pricing calculator to determine the cost of your video tape transfer. Please note that shipping quotes are given as good faith estimates. Orders requiring multiple boxes or orders with increased weight may be subject to additional shipping charges.

Furthermore, Home Movie Depot is proud to price match any of our competitor's Video Tape to DVD transfers. If you find a lower price from another company for a comparative service, contact us, and we will match their price!

How many hours of footage will fit on one DVD or hard drive?

We can put roughly two hours of video footage on one DVD. We will use a single hard drive large enough to accomodate most orders, with larger orders you may receive more than one hard drive. A hard drive file that is two hours in length will be about 30 GB in size.

Can I combine footage from multiple tapes onto one DVD?

Unfortunately, we do not offer this service for short tapes. Longer tapes do require more space as we do not want to degrade the video quality. Each video tape up to two hours will get its own DVD. If the tape is too long for one DVD, we will need to put the rest of it onto a second, third, or fourth DVD.
