Film or Video Transfer Problems
What's wrong with my DVD?
Please contact Home Movie Depot immediately to report any problems with your film or video transfer!! It's extremely important that you immediately check to make sure that you're happy with our product. In order to maintain a quick turnaround time, we can only store your files for 30 days. While we will always be glad to give you something that you're happy with, any complaint filed after 30 days can only be resolved by re-shipping the original materials to us. To help with several problems which you may encounter with your film and video transfer, here's a list of some common problems and their trouble shooting solutions.
Our DVDs are made to the specifications of commercial DVDs. So, if your DVD player has trouble playing commercial DVDs, then it will most likely have problems playing a Home Movie Depot DVD as well. If you find that this is the case, we can make a Home Movie Depot VHS copy for you of your film or video transfer.
There's the possibility that the DVD may have just been a bad disk. If you have tried it in several different players and it still doesn't play, simply return the media and we'll send you a new disk, free of charge. We will be happy to arrange shipping via FedEx.
Unfortunately, we can't guarantee that your computer's DVD player will be compatible with our film or video transfer DVD. We would suggest trying the DVD in a couple of different players. If you are still encountering the problem, contact us and we'll be happy to issue a new home movie DVD or a home movie VHS. If you are concerned about the compatibility of your computer's player with a Home Movie Depot DVD, you are welcome to take advantage of our free sample before you commit to placing an order. Send in any size film reel and we'll transfer the first three minutes of it to DVD for free.
