Ever since Home Movie Depot was founded, we have insisted that maintained that every image should be treated like part of our personal archive. Our Snap & Track Technology™ ensures that your material will be bar coded and photographed upon its arrival at our facility.

When your order arrives at our facility, we will notify you via email. We will also inform you when we ship your order back to you. You can even check the status of your order while it is in our building, just by logging into your account!

Professional Quality vs. Premium Quality

Professional Quality: For 35mm slides and negatives, we will transfer them at 2000 dpi, which is equivalent to a 4.7 MP camera, and printed photos will be converted at 300 dpi, equivalent to a 2MP camera.

Premium Quality: 35mm slides and negatives will be converted at 4000 dpi, which is equivalent to a 19.3 MP camera, and printed photos will be transferred at 600 dpi, equivalent to a 8MP camera.

Our Slide, Negative and Photo Scanning Service Provides a Data DVD, and a Slideshow, or Hard Drive, The Choice is Yours

Data DVD: This disc is meant for your computer, and contains the files corresponding to your slides, negatives and photos in JPEG format. This will allow you to manipulate them as you would any other digital photograph. Very photo shop friendly!

Get Your Images on a Slideshow: For an additional fee, we will put your images on a DVD meant to be watched on your Television, through your DVD player. This disc will show your pictures fading in and fading out slowly. This is the perfect background for any family event.

Get Your Images Transferred to an External Hard Drive or a Flash Drive: This is only available to customers who order Premium Quality. If you select this option during the order process, we will put your converted slides, negatives and photos on an external hard drive. You can edit your images on your home computer with the editing software of your choice. We can format the drive to be compatible with PC’s and Mac’s. This is our most popular product!
