Photo Scanning Service Resolution and Pricing
Resolution
We offer two different photo scanning resolutions, 300 dpi and 600 dpi, both at a very competitive price, but how do you know which one is right for you?
It really depends on what you plan on doing with your scanned images, and what you might want to do with them in the future.
Our 300 dpi scan is a good, quality scan, and works well for doing same size print-to-prints and posting online.
However, our 600 dpi captures much more information, future-proofing your pictures for whatever you or your family may want to do with it, including enlargements and editing.
Below is a chart showing the file specifications for pictures of various sizes, depending on the scan resolution you choose.
