1. How do I put my home movies into the archive?

Home movies are voluntarily submitted to the Home Movie Depot Archive by the original owner of the 8mm, Super8, or 16mm film. To submit your home movies to the Home Movie Depot Archive, log in to your account during the 30 days subsequent to your order's completion and click on the "Editor/Order Copies" button. Then, click on the "Editor" button which will take you to the editor screen. Finally, click the "Add to Archive" button on the left side of the editor screen. The archive will keep a copy of the streaming video files and any sound that is included with the original film.

2. How do I share my home movies with my friends and family?

To share your home movies with family and friends, you can simply direct them to your own personalized webpage- using your user name. For example, if your user name is "moviemaker", your album address would be: www.HomeMovieDepot.com/archive/view/moviemaker/

3. How much can my album hold?

Each album has 100MB of space. Each time you upload a new item, you will see how much space you have left.

4. How do I leave a comment?

Please add any comments to the Home Movie Depot archive about your favorite home movie. Our aim is to make the archive a useful resource for historical and educational purposes.

You can add your comment in one of two ways:
1. To add a comment to your favorite home movie, simply click on "Add Comment" in the right column of the Home Movie Depot Archive. Type your comment in the comment box, be sure to add a subject. Click "Save" when you are done with your comment.
2. You can watch the home movie at the same time you leave a comment by scrolling down to the bottom of the page and typing your comment directly into the comment box. Be sure to enter a subject for your post, then click "Save".

The movies are viewable by the general public. But, none of you personal account information is connected to the film footage. You can remove your home movies from the Home Movie Depot Archive at any time.

Movies in the Home Movie Depot Archive are not able to be edited. These are streaming video files, which are not adequate for editing and producing any other type of home movie media.
