Scan 35mm Negative Film to DVD and CD
Do you have prints that you'd like to preserve forever? The best way to do this is to send in the negative images of the film. The negatives carry a much better image than the print. Think about making a copy of a copy vs a copy of the original. Which will turn out better? Obviously the copy of the original!
35mm negative refers to the photographic film cut into strips 35 millimeters (about 1 3/8 inches) wide --- hence the name "35mm"- with eight perforations along each frame. The stock is used in many still cameras and then developed into prints. After development, the
negatives- usually grouped in strips of four- were returned with the prints.
Want to get some high quality prints of your negatives? Home Movie Depot will give you a data DVD- with your photos in the same file format as the pictures that come off your digital camera. Then you can upload, print or even edit these files at home!
The Memories3 Slide transfer technology will capture your slide images and even make improvements towards reversing the negative effects of storage- such as dust, dirt, and hairs that have settled on the slide over the years. We scan your 35mm negatives using a Cannon Supercool 5000- a professional photo scanner. (Don't worry. Even though we scan the negative, the image is flipped so that you get a positive picture) Then, we use a software called Digital ICE (Image Correction and Enhancement) to help perfect your 35mm image. Here are some examples of improvements that we can make to your 35mm negatives:
