How to Ship your Film and Video

If you have not already printed the barcodes for your 8mm Film, Super8 Film, 16mm Film, Camcorder, or VHS tape, please do so now. Head to http://www.homemoviedepot.com to login to your account. After logging in you should arrive at the Order Summary page. Here the details of your order are displayed as well as the available actions. Choose "Print Barcodes".

1. Apply Barcodes
Home Movie Depot provides you with specific barcodes to ensure the safety and prompt processing of your order. To avoid delays in processing, it is important that you tape these barcodes onto each movie. The barcodes also allow you to specify the sequence that you in which you would like your movies to be transferred. i.e. if the barcode reads: 304572-001 that film or video would be transferred first. If you have difficulties or are otherwise unable to get the barcodes use a marker to label the film or video(s) with your order number and the sequence in which you would you like your film or video transferred to DVD. i.e. 304572-001

Have a tape that is more than 2 hours long? Just let us know by writing "2+" on that tape's barcode. We'll be sure to transfer all of your tape and price your order appropriately. (0-2 hour tapes=$14.95 each; 2-4 hour tapes=$29.90 each; 4-6 hour tapes=$44.85 each)

2. Pack your film or video
Once you have applied the barcodes to your film or video movies place your film or video order into a Ziploc bag (to protect from moisture during transit) and a sturdy box for shipping. Avoid bubble mailers or envelopes!. Newspaper, bubble wrap, or packing peanuts will provide good cushion for the films in the box. Send them to the address below:
