8mm Film and 16mm Film to Video Transfer
How it Works in a Nutshell
Step 1 - Placing a Film to Video Order
First gather your 8mm film, Super8 film, and 16mm film and visit our online Pricing Calculator. You can then create an account and place an order. You will be given barcodes to place on your film reels as well as detailed shipping instructions.

|
Step 2 - Receiving and Check In
Once a package arrives at Home Movie Depot we check in the order and confirm the pricing. Each order can be tracked online throughout the process by logging in to your account.
|
|
Step 3 - Transfer Film to DVD, Hard Drive, or Digital Tape
We digitally transfer your film and create your personal preview webpage. View your movies online as streaming video, which you can share with your family and friends for 30 days. Or add your films to the Home Move Depot Archive and keep your streaming video files for a full year!
All Basic DVD copies will be shipped directly to you along with your original films!
Once at our facility, most orders take 48-72 hours to process.

Follow these steps after we ship your basic DVD. You can log in to your account and access your editor from any internet connection - even dial-up!
Step 1 - Additional Online Editing for Custom DVDs
As soon as your original film order changes to the "shipped" status, you will have 30 days of free access to our online editing tools. Take advantage of our Online Editor, Streaming Video and your Screening DVD to help you create your Custom DVD. Additional time may be purchased to keep your Streaming Video and Online Editor active.
|
|
Step 2 - Order and Enjoy Your Custom DVDs
Order the quantity of Custom DVDs you would like and Home Movie Depot will send the newly created DVDs to you! The Online Editor and Streaming Video will automatically be extended an additional 30 days for you to create even more custom DVDs at a later date! Custom DVDs make great gifts to enjoy with your friends and family!
